If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Description

Your hunt takes place on a family farm and ranch in East Central South Dakota. A new Lodge complete with all the amenities of home will be your home base. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served and hunters will enjoy thousands of acres and the perfect habitat on this 3 day Pheasant hunt. Habitat hunted consists of row crops, CRP grass, cattail sloughs and shelter belts. Hunts consists mainly of walkers and blockers surrounding a targeted habitat and pushing pheasants in a general direction. This is a great hunt for large groups, corporate events and small groups. In some cases, prairie chickens and sharptail grouse may be taken as a bonus.

Home cooked meals prepared for each meal, snacks and drinks are all included in the hunt. Hunters who make all day sits will have a lunch, snacks and drinks provided for them. Alcohol is accepted but must be provided by client.

This ground is typically flat, hunters may encounter heavy grass, cattails, and thick trees in shelter belts. Walking is required, and in some instances hunters with mobility issues can be placed in a strategic position.


Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

Hunters are responsible for transport to and from camp from the airport in Rapid City, Sioux Falls or Pierre SD. Each airport has rental cars available. Hunters are welcome to drive from their homes, directions to the ranch will be provided upon booking. An airstrip for those flying private is just minutes from the lodge.

Typical upland hunting gear is recommended. Shotguns, Shells, Game vest, shooting glasses, comfortable walking boots and hunter orange outer garments.
