Description

A great hunt in Wyoming or Nebraska for waterfowl hunters! This is a fully guided 3 day hunt on the border of Nebraska and Wyoming with lots of birds and high success. Hunters will have expert guide service and access to several hundred acres of leased private land. Canada geese are plentiful and duck species targeted are mallards, widgeon, and an occasional pintail or wood duck. Outfitter will provide custom pit blinds with heaters so comfort is provided. Outfitter has world class dogs that will retrieve birds. This is a bucket list hunt for anyone who loves to shoot and fill their limits on waterfowl! Minimum group of 4 to book the hunt. Maximum group of 21 if hunters book hotels.

Classification details:

Limit for geese is 5 geese per day in Nebraska, 4 geese per day in Wyoming with a 3 day possession limit. Hunter can shoot up to 6 ducks per day with a 3 day possession limit. Hunter may choose to hunt in both states if they desire, but then hunting licenses must be purchased in both states.

Weapons description:

Outfitter suggests a 12 gauge shotgun.
Outfitter will call birds into close range. Hunters can expect a shot distance of 20 yards.

        Hunting license and duck stamp not included in the hunt price. Hunter will need to be flexible on where birds are located to know if you will be hunting in Nebraska or Wyoming. Outfitter will be in contact and advise where hunting license should be purchased before the hunt. Depending on if hunter is looking for a goose only or duck only hunt will determine what dates are available. Duck season and goose season do not always overlap. Goose season opens the 13 November and runs through February 9. Duck season opens in early October and goes through January 26th. Outfitter sees the most action in December and January.

        Refund Policy:

        Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunters will need to be flexible on where the hunt will take place based on where birds are found. Outfitter will contact hunters 2 or 3 days before the first hunting date and determine whether a Nebraska or Wyoming hunt license should be purchased. Lodging can be added to this hunt if available for an additional charge. There are 2 lodges in Wyoming and 1 in Nebraska that could be arranged, but must be confirmed with the outfitter before purchased. This outfitter has an amazing track record of filling daily limits in the first few hours of daylight. Outfitter also offers a butchering service at camp. Each duck processed will be $6.00 and geese will be cleaned for $8.00. The butchering service will also provide vacuum sealed and frozen meat to the hunter with all appropriate tags for cross country travel. The outfitter will set out fresh decoys every morning and heat the blinds 30 minutes before hunters arrive. The outfitter will determine which field will be set up based on the previous days activity and where bird densities are high.

        These are hunts are client provided lodging. There are plenty of hotel options in the area. Hunter may choose to stay at the lodge for an additional fee. It is first come, first serve basis. There are 2 different lodges available in Wyoming and 1 lodge available in Nebraska. The Wyoming lodging can hold up to 7 and Nebraska lodge up to 12. There are also plenty hotels and motels in the area.

        This hunt will be client provided meals. If staying the lodge, there will be a full kitchen available with a grill. Hunter will need to bring their own groceries to cook. Hunter will also want to bring water and snacks for the blinds.

        No hiking required for this hunt. Outfitter will drop a pin on where hunters can meet in the morning. All decoys are set up fresh in the morning and blinds will be heated 30 minutes before hunters arrive. Blinds and pits are built custom by the outfitter and very comfortable and effective.


        Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

        Depending on where the bird traffic is located, hunter will either be hunting in Nebraska or Wyoming. Final destination city for lodging if hunting in Wyoming is Torrington, Wyoming and if hunting in Nebraska the best option is Morrill. Hunting spots will not be located more than 45 minutes from hunting location. Field transportation will be hunter provided. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed.

        Description

        Custom heated pit blinds will be provided, but weather can still be very cold later in the year. Thermal base layers and a good layering system are a must. Rubber boots are needed. On a typical year, there is a lot of snow in December and January. Outfitter does suggest that you bring your own snacks and water as they will not be provided. Most of the hunts are over before noon as limits are hit in the first hunt of the day. Hunter will need to plan on bringing enough shells to cover 60-80 rounds a day. Outfitter will supply a pin where everyone will meet each day. If renting a vehicle, a 4x4 vehicle is needed. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
