This is a great opportunity to hunt big Rocky or California Bighorn in Idaho. This hunt price includes 10 full days of pre-scouting preformed by the outfitter along with a 10 day 1:2 fully guided hunt. Outfitter has over 40 years experience with Boone & Crockett and state record ram kills under his belt. This outfitter has guided hunters to 8 of the top 10 B&C ranked Rocky Mountain bighorn rams for Idaho. Camp will be either a spike tent wall tent or a backpacking tent depending on where the hunt takes place. Hunter should expect a spike camp set up and hunt daily from there.

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

A dream hunt for anyone looking for a book Rocky or California bighorn. This hunt includes a 1:2 fully outfitted 10 day hunt. Outfitter will do 10 days of pre-scouting before the hunter arrives to locate big rams. Most hunts open between August and November. This outfitter has guided hunters to 8 of the top 10 B & C ranked Rocky Mountain bighorn rams for Idaho. This outfitter and his guides have guided hunters to 75 rams exceeding the Boone & Crocket minimum of 180 points and 23 rams scoring over 190 B&C points.

Hunter will stay in either a wall tent or a backpacking tent. Generally a base camp is set up (rams have already been located with the 10 days of pre-scouting) and hunter will hunt daily from there.

Hunter should be prepared for some moderate hiking in steep mountains in pursuit of big rams. Hunter should be prepared for long days, up to 6 miles a day of rim rock walking and glassing.
Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
Final destination city is Boise, Idaho. Outfitter will pick up hunter and transport to sheep camp. Hunter may also come in early if they choose to participate in scouting days. Hunter must get an early flight in or get a hotel room the day before if flying in late.

Description
Hunter should be prepared to spend a 10 days in the backcountry camping from a spike camp daily. Spike camp will be either a wall tent or backcountry tent set up. Moderate weather hunting clothing with a layering system is recommended. Comfortable and durable hiking boots is a must.
