Description
Because of the ratio of forest and farmland, this area of Alberta has a very healthy elk population that is growing each year. These elk bow hunts run late August to mid September and then the rifle season opens. The changeover between seasons happens right at the peak of the rut making the elk hunting both successful and enjoyable. The excitement created by a bugling elk is one that is not soon forgotten. These typical elk are 5X5 and 6X6's. Largest elk taken with the outfit was a 6X8 that scored well over 300". There have been bulls killed in the areas outfitter operates from that are 350"+. Elk hunting is very popular with this outfitter. Many hunters choose to do a combination hunt. One of the most popular is the Elk/Moose/Black Bear, though you are able to combine elk hunting with any of the species we offer. This is a 2:1 fully guided 6 day hunt with options to add additional hunting days and to upgrade to a 1:1 option. Wolves may be shot with no additional charge and if seen.
