Description

This fully-guided hunt is an action-packed adventure that can go from 0-100 mph in an instant! Our bear hunt is offered either with hounds or with a spot and stalk option, but please note that hounds are prohibited in September. This is a difficult hunt, so you must be in good physical condition. Hunter can expect to see a lot of color phase bears for this hunt. Travel is done by truck, quad, mule, horse or on foot. Camp and lodging is included in the price. However, it can be unpredictable depending on where the hunt takes us. This is a fully guided 5 day hunt.

      Refund Policy:

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Hunt camp may move depending on where boars are located. Meals will be provided for this hunt but hunter must be flexible. Either a full kitchen or field kitchen will be provided. Hot meals-homestyle cooking.

      This can be a surprisingly physical hunt. Hunter can expect to hike in some rocky terrain. Blinds can be used over water. If selecting the hound hunt, be prepared to follow dogs and hike up to 2-4 miles per day.


      Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

      Final destination city is either Albuquerque, NM or Las Cruses, NM. Best airport to fly into is Albuquerque. Depending on the unit drawn, hunter can expect a 2-4 hour drive to camp. If flying, hunter must rent a car to get to camp.

      Description

      This hunt will take place in August and September. Hunter should be prepared to hike in warm weather. This can be a very physical hunt, and hunter should be prepared with durable and comfortable hiking boots. Light to moderate weather hunting gear is recommended. Outfitter will supply meals and lodging for this hunt, but hunter must be flexible as camp may move depending on where the bears are located. Full gear list to be provided when booked.
