Description

This an incredible opportunity to hunt free range bison on Sitkalidak Island near Kodiak in Alaska. Outfitter has special permission to take 1 hunter a year on native land to harvest a bull. This is a 1:1 fully guided 5 day hunt with one of the best guides in Alaska. Because this hunt is on native land, the hunt can be conducted year round, but best time for the hunt is February-April. Outfitter will pay a trespass fee (included in the hunt price) to allow for the hunt to take place. Hunter will get to take home their cape and horns, but most of the meat will be donated to the tribe. Some meat maybe taken home from the animal. A non-hunter may accompany, but this is not an ideal hunt for one. Camp will be rustic with backpacking tents and the island does not provide for much entertainment. Amount of bulls will be determined on a yearly basis as the tribe does surveys.
