Description
An amazing opportunity for a 7 day hunt in the Eastern Cape of South Africa for 6 iconic African plains species. This package includes a KUDU OR GEMSBUCK, WILDEBEEST (BLACK OR BLUE), IMPALA, WARTHOG, BLESBUCK AND SPRINGBUCK. This complete package includes all daily rates, food, lodging and 6 trophies. Additional hunt days and species can be added. This hunt can be arranged for either a rifle, archery, or handgun hunt. Rifle hunting is conducted throughout South Africa and all huntable species are available. Certain specialized game species require longer hunts and these are tailor made to your specifications. These professional PH's have been guiding novice and seasoned hunters for many years and we will ensure that you will be ready for the hunt whether it is your first hunt or your son or grandson’s first hunt. There is a benchrest and shooting range available and all training can be arranged for the new hunter. All hunts are conducted by the spot and stalk method and are strictly “fair chase”. All hunting will be adapted to the ability of the hunter to ensure that you have the greatest possible hunting experience and will return again and again. Bowhunting is conducted mostly on archery only concessions and hunts are by the “walk and stalk” method or from comfortable, well constructed pit blinds, ground blinds or tree stands. The game is extremely plentiful and trophy quality is outstanding. This outfit has specialist archery guides and they will put you onto the trophy of a lifetime. All Southern Africa’s huntable species are available to the dedicated bow hunter on these concessions. At the home ranch hunter will have the unique experience of bow hunting amongst the Big-5 and quite possibly have them coming around the blind during the hunt.

Transportation (To/From Basecamp)
The port of entry into South Africa at the moment is Johannesburg. This is where the hunter will clear customs and get firearms etc cleared (should there be any) on the way to the final destination. If hunting the Eastern Cape, then hunter will fly on to Port Elizabeth or East London. If hunting the Free State, then hunter will fly on to Bloemfontein and if headed to the North West then there will be a drive from Johannesburg. Note that all the lodges are within two hours of the final destination airport. From the USA, there are two direct flight options into Johannesburg. Delta flies direct from Atlanta and United fly from Newark. There are currently no late afternoon/evening connecting flights and should guests need to overnight in Johannesburg, arrangements will be made for a meet and greet by a company representative who will accompany them to the luxury guest house only minutes from the airport. They will then be safely returned to the airport for their connecting flight the next morning.

Description
Due to the fact that the outfit has a daily laundry service it is unnecessary to pack large volumes of clothing for this Southern African adventure. Hunter can expect warmer weather to hunt, but long sleeves and long pants are a must. Layering systems are recommended. Generally, the temperatures in March, April, September and October will peak at around 80 degrees in the day and drop to around 50 degrees in the evenings. During May to August it is cooler with frost in the mornings and the temperatures rising into the high 60’s during the day. Rain is scarce, but does fall unseasonably on occasion. The rainy season is from November to February and mostly dry the rest of the year. There is very little extreme weather such as hurricanes, cyclones and tornados in South Africa. arrival in South Africa, hunter will need to obtain a temporary import permit for their firearm's. Hunter may bring in up to three firearms but not more than one per caliber, no semi-automatics. Hunter is advised to get all forms and permits done before their arrival. This is extremely helpful and time saving as the procedure can take time if there are a number of hunters on the flight. Concierge service from Hunters Permits Africa will do all your paperwork up front for a nominal fee and hunters will be personally met on arrival with their completed import permits requiring only a signature. Included in your South African Safari are all field preparation of trophies. This includes skinning, caping, salting, tagging of hides, horns, tusks and skins. Also delivery to the local taxidermists. This outfitter recommends that the mounting of trophies be done in South Africa as their taxidermists have an intimate knowledge of the animals as well as the skills to do the work best. The turn around time is far shorter in South Africa and the costs are less than to have them mounted in the U.S.A. or Europe. The outfitter does have good Wi-Fi at most of the lodges and it is easy to send and receive messages etc. Large files can be a problem if the system is slowed down. They highly recommend that you download the WhatsApp app on the mobile phone as they communicate on this app all the time and it is really simple to use both in the USA and South Africa. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
