Description

Across the wide-open spaces of New Mexico roam an unlikely creature, the North American pronghorn antelope. Although they may look like an African species, they are Native to North America. New Mexico’s antelope herd is well known for trophy antelope producing numerous goats every year that exceed the Boone and Crockett mark. Known for their speed and keen eye site make for an experience filled hunt. Outfitter has 100% success on this hunt. This is a 2:1 fully guided 3-day hunt. Hunter may choose to bring a non-hunter for an additional charge. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt. Vouchers are available if not drawn during application period. The application period for big game species in New Mexico typically opens early in the year (January) and closes sometime in early to mid-March.

*LARGE TROPHY GOATS IN THESE AREAS. Bucks as big as 87", 88", 89". and 91" have been killed in these units. *Landowner vouchers are available for this hunt if hunter does not draw. Please inquire about voucher prices if interested. Landowner vouchers are roughly $1500-3500.

Be prepared to shoot out to 500 yards. If you prefer to hunt with a bow practice out to 80+ yards and from the sitting position.

      • Price: $6,550.00

      Hunting license and taxes not included in hunt price. An annual game hunting license (appx. $65) and habitat stamp (appx. $10) are required when applying. New Mexico also required all license fees be paid up front, in which case a pronghorn license is about $283. If not drawn, only the species license is refunded. All annual license fees and application fees are non-refundable. If purchasing an OTC/private only pronghorn license (required in addition to voucher if purchased) the cost is about $270 in addition to the annual license costs and application fees. New Mexico does not use a point system, so draw odds are randomized.

      Refund Policy:

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Hunter may choose to bring a non-hunter for an additional charge. While on you hunt be prepared to look at multiple buck antelope in a single day . Hunter will be covering a lot of ground via 4×4 truck and or side by side. Glassing for hours on end. Hunting is on very flat terrain so being prepared to crawl or sit in the wide open landscape is needed.

      This outfitter has a few options for their lodging and accommodations for the hunters that want to experience the wall tent atmosphere we have wall tents on elevated platforms with wood stove heat, electric ran to them to charge electrical devices. They are outfitted with 4-full size beds with plenty of room for gear. We also have a cabin that is available that is outfitted with 4-full size beds plenty of room for gear and power ran with several electrical outlets to charge phones cameras etc. Cabins and lodge is also available depending on what unit is drawn.

      Note: We do prepare our delicious food a little on the spicy side so if you have a problem with that we ask that you please let us know ahead of time so that we can help you enjoy your meal all the more. With all of the lodging accommodations meals are always the same and sure to give you an amazing taste of what New Mexico food is all about.Based on the kind of hunt booked (wall tent or lodge) depending on the unit drawn, the outfitter will supply a full kitchen or field kitchen for meals.

      The outfitter can arrange the hunt for any physical ability. Hunter will need to be prepared to stalk and crawl to get within shot distance of big bucks. Travel will be provided on this hunt with trucks and side x sides.


      Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

      Whether driving or flying, we recommend that you arrive a day or two before your hunt, in order to make sure you are ready for the first day of the hunt. You are responsible for your transportation to and from Albuquerque International Airport, It is a good idea to rent a truck or SUV for the roads you’ll be traveling. Outfitter will meet hunters at their home base bed and breakfast before the hunt starts.

      Description

      Hunter should be prepared for warm weather hunting in the month of August in New Mexico. A good layering system is recommended with long sleeves and a light jacket as weather can be windy and cooler in the mornings and evenings. Good glass (both spotting scope and binoculars) are recommended. Outfitter suggests 10x42 or 15x50 or better. Hunter will need to be prepared to stalk by crawling to get in the best position to make a shot on a good buck. All field transportation will be provided by truck or side x side. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
