Description
Our Blacktail Deer hunts take place on private ranches in the heart of Mendocino County, Northern California—one of the premier destinations for blacktail hunting. Mendocino County consistently produces more Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young blacktail bucks than any other area with Columbia blacktail populations. The diverse terrain, which includes rolling hills, dense forests, canyons, and brush with plentiful natural springs, creates the perfect setting for an authentic spot and stalk hunt. With low hunting pressure, one-on-one guiding, and access to premium ranches, this hunt offers a high success rate. We hunt in both the A and B zones, where tags are available over the counter. A zone archery season begins in July, with the general season running from August through late September. B zone archery starts in August, while the general season runs from September through late October. We also offer hunts for those who have drawn a late-season M11 (Muzzleloader) or A30 (Archery) tag, providing flexibility for various hunting preferences. This is your chance to hunt blacktail deer in one of the most renowned locations in the world. These private ranches have low hunting pressure, which allows bucks to mature to old age, and black bear to thrive. All hunts are 1:1 guided, which allows for high success rate. This hunt can be arranged for either an archery hunt or rifle hunt. Primarily a spot and stalk hunt. This is a 5 day fully guided hunt. The bear and hog hunt can be added on.
