Description

This outfitter operates a remote fly in camp located in Moose Management Area (MMA) 39A on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland, Canada. The camp has a history of successful and satisfied clients. Since 2019 we have had great success with our hunters. The nearest town is Roddickton, NL. Due to the density of the moose population in the area, Roddickton is known as the “Moose Capital of the world.” Newfoundland in itself is known for some of the best big game hunting east of Alaska. Moose hunting season begins the second week of September in NL and this camp will operate for 5 to 6 weeks following that date. The hunting experience will run from Sunday to Sunday. The remote location of the lodge means there is little hunting pressure on bears or moose in the area. Although this outfitter strives for moose 40" or larger, many clients opt to harvest the first moose they see as they "star" struck by the size of a bull moose and want to take the opportunity to fill their freezer. Our lodge is fly in only and is located on a pond surrounded by beautiful tundra type country. With a mix of rolling hills and wooded valleys, it’s a fantastic area for hunting moose and bear. The lodge is a 20 to 30 minute flight by float plane from Hawkes Bay, NL. The float plane can accommodate 4 passengers per flight plus cargo. This flight will give you unforgettable views of nature and of the long range mountains. In addition to our main lodge, we also have spike camps and access to a lodge located at Twin Lakes.
