Description

Charge into Spring with a great opportunity for a Bitterroot black bear. This guided expedition in Idaho during the spring or fall bear season provides the opportunity to hunt over bait, from tree stands, or ground blinds, offering the perfect vantage points for harvesting a good black bear in some beautiful scenery. Before a nonresident hunter can purchase a black bear tag, they will have to pass a bear identification test provided by the Idaho Fish and Game. This law was passed to differentiate between black bears and grizzly bears. Hunters must provide proof that they have passed the identification test to a conservation officer if asked in the field. The panhandle area offers an opportunity for a second bear, after shooting the first one. The fee for the second bear is $900 and it is due up front in advance. Spring bear hunts are any weapon for 6 days and run May 15-July 30. Fall bear hunts are also 6 days and any weapon and run from August 30-November 30.
