Description

This is a great hunt for one hunter to chase bull tahr in the central south island mountains of New Zealand. Option to add a second hunter for additional charge. This is a 4 day hunt. Hunter can also choose to add Estate stag, free range chamois, free range fallow, waterfowl hunting (if hunt is booked in early May). Helicopter/wallaby hunting can also be arranged for a great add-on hunt. A great area for trophy class tahr.

Weapons description:

Rifle is preferred method of take, but archery hunt may be arranged.
Shooting is prone or sitting.
Custom Snowy Mt. 6.5 PRC with Swarovski V5 scope rifle available to use if client doesnt want to bring their own.

                Refund Policy:

                Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

                Description

                4 day hunt (plus 2 day travel) for one hunter to chase trophy tahr in the central south island of New Zealand. Spot and stalk hunting with some moderate to heavy hiking is required. The tahr rut is in Mid-may and so hunting can be best to find trophy tahr during this time.

                Outfitter will take hunter for meals at a local restaurant/pub for dinner. Early morning bakery run for coffee and baked goods. Food is available in camp if the hunter prefers.

                Moderate to heavy hiking will be required for this hunt. If heavy physical exertion is not preferred or possible, hunts booked in March and April allow for easier hunts.


                Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

                Hunter will fly into Christchurch International Airport. Outfitter will pick up hunter and transport them to hunting lodge. If hunter prefers, there are hotels in Christchurch if the hunter prefers to stay the first night in town.

                Description

                Hunter should be prepared with hiking/hunting gear for all weather types. Rainstorms can happen during the rut and so waterproof hunting outerwear should be packed. Depending on the time of year booked, tahr can be found in snow will stay in a lodge and meals will be provided at local pubs and restaurants.
