Description

This is a 12 day fully guided and outfitted, 1x1 hunt, on horseback in some of the best sheep hunting grounds in North America. You will hunt comfortably from wood heated wall tents, eating home cooked meals, riding top quality mountain horses accompanied by an experienced guide and horse wrangler. There is relatively little hunting pressure due to the difficulty of access, so rest assured you won't have to compete for your ram! Classification details:

To qualify as a legal trophy in our area, a ram must have a curl of at least ⅘. This offers more opportunities for our clients compared to areas where only full-curl rams are eligible. After harvesting a ram, it must be inspected by a biologist, then plugged and registered with the province. The hunting season runs from September 1st to October 15th.

Refund Policy:

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

We offer two types of hunting experiences: Backpack and Horseback hunts. Both options allow us to tailor the hunt to a wide range of fitness levels, preferences, and expectations. Here’s a brief overview of each style; if you'd like more details on a specific hunt, feel free to ask. During the hunt, you may stay at various camps or opt to spike out with tents, which may require packing gear and food and traveling between camps. While this can take up some hunting time, our guides will make strategic moves to give you the best chance at success. The flexibility to change locations during the hunt is a significant advantage, ensuring you stay in the action.

This is a sheep hunt. Expect to hike and work hard and experience one of the most rewarding adventures in life.


Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

Fly to Calgary, Alberta, rent a car, and drive 2hrs north to Rocky Mountain House where your guide will pick you up the following morning from the hotel. After a 1.5 hour drive from your hotel, you will pack the horses and trail deep into the Rocky Mountains.
